Last February 20, 2020, a presentation of the SUWANU EUROPE project was made during the discussion panels of the International Agricultural Exhibition AGRA February 19-23, Plovdiv International fair (Bulgaria).
The International Agricultural Exhibition has established itself as the biggest economic event for agribusiness in Southeast Europe. It attracts manufacturers and traders because they can present their products and services to more than 40 000 visitors here and professionals from the industry – with innovations on a global level. The exhibition is preferred by farmers because of the opportunity to get informed about new products and services, to purchase equipment and inventory and exchange ideas and experience. It is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry of Bulgaria.
During the discussion panel “Challenges and solutions for agriculture related to climate and environmental change”, different subjects were debated.
Assoc. prof. Stefan Shilev from Agricultural University of Plovdiv presented the concept of water reuse, the main project goals, activities and future tasks. The presentation provokes a debate concerning the use reclaimed water in agriculture and future prospects in Bulgaria in particular.
