Water Europe Platform was present during the conference thanks to the presentation by Andrea Rubini, Director of Operations, who talked about the promotion of water-related innovation in Europe. Andrea holds a MSc in Water Resources Engineering and has more than 30 years of international experience in the water and energy sector, in climate change related impacts in urban and industrial areas, and ecosystems.
He works at Water Europe, the European Technology Platform for Water, in Brussels as the Director of Operations and is in charge of the Market and Collaboration Programs. He represents Water Europe the Water JPI and in the A.SPIRE as member of the Partnership Board.

Antonia Lorenzo, CEO of Bioazul, introduced the Water & Agrifood Working Group of the Water Europe which works on improving the exploitation of water sources by involving the water sector, the food industry and the agricultural sector. Antonia started managing international R & D projects more than 15 years ago at the Technology Transfer Center TTZ-Bremerhaven (Germany). Later she returned to Spain and founded BIOAZUL in 2003 with the hope of promoting; sustainability, environmental protection and efficient water management.
She has also had the opportunity to work for the European Commission as an expert and evaluator in several of its programs and has specialized in aspects related to intellectual protection and exploitation.
