ANETH S.A. as a partner of SUWANU EUROPE project organized a participatory workshop on December 5th in Thessaloniki regions to discuss about the use of reclaimed water in agriculture.
The event was held on two sessions, one containing targeted presentations and one session of discussion-proposals. In the second session four groups were formed in order to facilitate discussion and
The workshop coordination team and lead partner presented the project results of the analysis conducted so far. The results of SWOT and PEST analysis for the region of Thessaloniki were further discussed. The AKIS analysis was presented. Participants mentioned that the above methods are critical and showed interest on the results.
During the workshop numerous important topics were raised and identified by the participants. The workshop was a successful procedure, with all main stakeholders of water management participating. The role of the Regional Working Group was highlighted and by general agreement it is a very important attempt and initiative for the regional unit of Thessaloniki.
It was suggested that the RWG meetings should continue upon the project end, with circular participants and more open to stakeholders.
