Water reclaimed for irrigation in Aguilas, Murcia

The municipal WWTP is operated by ESAMUR. From time to time, the Irrigation Community cannot use the reclaimed water due to problems on water quality. This is due to mass tourism and the rise in wastewater production that results in a lesser treatment quality.

There is a pipe system from the WWTP that transports the water to about 50 meters above sea level, from where it is distributed.
